Readers, today’s post is over at Miss Minimalist. It’s the latest post in Francine Jay’s “Real-Life Minimalists” series. You can find it here:  Real Life Minimalists: Caroline Garnet McGraw.

I’m honored to be posting there. Miss Minimalist is all about “living a beautiful life with less stuff.” Her recent book, The Joy Of Less, is a must-have if you’re interested in downsizing and simplifying (I’ve read it multiple times.) Francine is a gracious, articulate writer (on both practical and philosophical levels) and her site is an excellent resource for simplicity-seekers.

My post focuses on my experiences with simplicity within the L’Arche DC community. As Francine wrote, “[Caroline] tells us about her experiences living and working in a L’Arche community, and reminds us that it’s people, not things, that make our lives remarkable.”

Welcome to A Wish Come Clear, readers from Miss Minimalist!

Thank you for reading!

Great post at Miss Minimalist! I just wanted to pop over here to say that I am a huge admirer of L’Arche (several friends have worked with them) and it is great that you love your work there! I have a family member who could have greatly benefited from a place like L’Arche, but unfortunately there is none in my home country. (There was a Faith and Light community there for a while, but it closed.) Now I live in DC and have often thought I should get involved; maybe this is the time! Thanks again for a wonderful post and for the work that you do.
